   I feel like in NYC, there's always somebody else, so it's a lot easier to stay single than in a smaller city.
   
   But most of these guys that approached you with partners, their partners are out probably doing the same thing. Some of them have non-monogamous agreements (my fav book: The Ethical Slut). Some of them are just creeping.
   
   But many couples are fully capable of having long-lasting non-monogamous relationships. None of the guys I meet, but I've seen them,

   by "meet" I mean "have dated".

   As with anything in lIfe most people choose the easy way out even when it comes to love and relationships. Lust is easier to deal with that love that is why most of us (meaning people in general) opt for that over the hard work it takes to be in a committed relationship. If you could make money without having to have a job, you would probably do it right? So people treat "relationships" the same way.
